When a living system is suffering from ill health, the remedy is to - connect it with more of itself.

—Francisco Varella

Your nerves connect all your parts to each other and connect you to the world. Nerves control all of the processes in our very complex bodies. Nerves tell us when to pull away from a hot stove, when to sleep, and when to eat. Nerves also tell our hearts to beat, our lungs to breathe and our bodies to heal.

All your nerves pass through your spinal cord, which is protected by your spine. Accidents, trauma, poor diet, even the stress of daily living can move the vertebrae in your spine out of alignment, irritating or damaging these nerves. This is not the same as a "pinched nerve" which is very painful. The irritation caused to a nerve by a misaligned vertebra can be very slight, and you may not notice it.

To be truly healthy you must be a clear channel for your inner wisdom (the "wisdom of the body", "your innate intelligence"). Misalignments interfere with the communications between body, mind and spirit.

Chiropractic adjustments remove nerve interference, allowing the body to maintain and heal itself. Chiropractors are specially trained to locate and correct these misalignments.

The process of reconnecting and healing is a fascinating adventure.
As your spine and nervous system release stress you begin to tune into your body’s subtle messages and reconnect to the deeper laws of life that guide you to greater wholeness, awareness, growth and wisdom.

During your Visit

At your first chiropractic visit, Dr. Agrawal will review your medical history, and do a thorough exam to determine the location and nature of any spinal misalignments. She will review her findings with you, indicating which spinal levels are involved. If X-rays are not needed you will be adjusted on your first visit.
In an adjustment, the misaligned vertebrae are released removing nerve interference and helping the body to function at an optimum level. Adjustments also will often relieve the pain and discomfort associated with misplaced vertebrae.
